Martha - Print Size Download

$75.00

Martha was an outspoken, hard-working woman and a devoted follower of Jesus. Martha, her sister Mary, and her brother Lazarus were from a town called Bethany (meaning "house of figs"). They were very dear friends of Jesus.

Martha is perhaps most famous for her busyness. When Jesus came through Bethany to Martha’s home, she and her sister Mary welcomed him. While Martha worked hard to prepare for their guest, she asked Jesus, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” Jesus’ response was a reminder that to be present with him was more important than tasks. (Luke 10, John 11)
