Mary was a young Jewish teen from the small and humble town of Nazareth. Because of Mary’s obedience and faithfulness to God, she was part of the fulfillment of God’s words to the serpent after the Fall in Genesis: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” (Genesis 3:15) Her life gave way to redemption of the sin that entered the world through Eve.
